We hold five chamber music concerts a year in Berkhamsted and organise excursions to concerts at London venues. Our events can be booked online or through the contact details below. Berkhamsted concert tickets are available at the door.

Our soloist on 15 February – the only one this season – was the cellist Maxim Calver. He combined an engaging enthusiasm with a deeply impressive and technically stunning technique. In works by Beethoven, Debussy and Brahms among others, his minute attention to detail and bow control from feather light to robust and resonant exquisitely expressed the emotional intent of the music. He was aided by the immensely empathetic playing of his experienced and accomplished accompanist, Kumi Matsuo. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance and particularly the Debussy and the relatively less well known Nadia Boulanger.

We now look forward to welcoming the Fitzroy Quartet for our closing concert of the season.
