Resol Quartet

About the Resol Quartet

Resol, Catalan for ‘reflection of sunlight’, came together from a variety of backgrounds at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2018. At the Conservatoire they won a number of prizes and, alongside the Brodsky, opened the Rosin Chamber Festival. Winning the CAVATINA Competition in 2021at the Wigmore Hall, launched a series of concert debuts in Perth, at the Conway Hall and with Radio Scotland. Most recently they were selected as a Britten Pears Young Artist for 2022-23. The Resol tour the UK and Europe, and from their Glasgow base they tour the Highlands and Islands bringing original programmes to rural communities. These tours include educational visits to local schools such as Oban High School, and at the other end of the country they have worked with the Worth Young Musician of the Year Competition in West Sussex.
